Ankama Convention 25th Anniversary: Ankama Éditions
Authors to meet, titles to discover, collectibles to gather, and even a chance to score some points with a volleyball? Ankama Éditions has a packed booth in store to celebrate Ankama’s 25th anniversary in style.
Authors Signing Books
Throughout the convention, your favorite authors will be on hand to meet you, chat with you, and sign your books. You’ll be able to meet, among others:
- Cynthia Leman for WAKFU: The Great Wave and the Ankama 25th Anniversary Artbook
- Mig for Ogrest
- Tony Valente* for Radiant, Fabula Fantasia, and Cyfandir Chronicles
- Naokuren* for Cyfandir Chronicles
- ZD. for Space Punch
- Jeronimo Cejudo for Ripper
- Toan for Run to Heaven
- Stéphanie Le Chevalier for Ashes
- Salvatore Nives for Block Out
- ToT for several titles in the Ankama catalog
*For the book signings with Tony Valente and Naokuren, a scratch-off ticket system will be in place to give attendees a chance to win a spot. Tickets will be distributed in the morning until all winning tickets are gone.
For a chance to meet one of your favorite authors, be among the first to get in line. First come, first served!
A dedicated manga shop
To make it easier for you to pick up the title(s) you’d like signed—or in case you’ve left yours at home, safely tucked away on your nightstand with a “DON’T FORGET!” Post-it note stuck to the cover—a manga shop will be set up near the signing area.
Ankamanga #5: A Collection of Excerpts
Looking for a great opportunity to discover new series or flip through a few pages between booths at this exceptional convention? Pick up a free copy of the fifth issue of Ankamanga, packed with excerpts and previews from the Ankama Éditions catalog.
Block Out steps in
Block Out is thus Ankama Éditions’ first spokon (sports manga) by Salvatore Nives. Best known for the Flare Zero and Flare Levium series, the Italian author turns his attention here to one of his greatest passions from his youth: volleyball. Drawing direct inspiration in part from his own life story, Salvatore Nives sets the stage for an adventure that is as human as it is athletic.
To celebrate the love of sports (and sweat), a volleyball passing challenge will let you earn kamas—a currency you can spend at the Kama Shop at the Trool Fair—so you can leave the Ankama Convention with extra goodies!
New Releases and Merchandise
At Ankama Shop, you’ll of course find titles from the Ankama Éditions catalog, as well as a wide selection of merchandise such as shikishis, acrylic standees, puzzles, keychains, pins, plush toys, apparel, and art posters—including the very latest one, printed especially for the convention: the poster featuring the illustration for Ankama’s 25th anniversary, created by Cynthia Leman.
