The Daruma awards recognize a selection of manga and anime released during the previous year, as voted for by a jury of professionals and the public, offering a veritable reading guide for those wishing to discover the best of recent releases.

To select the live works, a Selection Committee was asked to draw up the list of manga and anime in competition. These specialists, media players, specialized influencers and personalities from the worlds of manga and anime delivered a complete list of works divided into 20 categories!


Once again this year, a jury of industry professionals has selected the nominees for the various awards. The public played a central role in determining the winners, as your vote has counted just as much as the jury’s in each category.
