Created by Tsuyoshi Takaki and originally serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine, Shonen Jump+ and published in French by Ki-oon, BLACK TORCH blends ninja action with Japanese supernatural folklore, delivering high-impact battles and a modern supernatural twist.
The anime adaptation is directed by Kei Umabiki (Quality Assurance in Another World, among others) at 100studio, with series composition and scripts by Gigaemon Ichikawa (Bogus Skill “Fruitmaster”, among others), character designs by Go Suzuki (Sword Art Online: Alicization, among others), and music by Yutaka Yamada (VINLAND SAGA, among others).
BLACK TORCH is licensed by VIZ Media, and will be streamed exclusively on Crunchyroll worldwide excluding Asia, starting on July, 4th 2026.
