Anisong Festa
This event is back at Japan Expo with some amazing guests!
The grand gathering for anime theme songs, Anisong Festa returns this year with an incredible lineup!
Japan Expo presents a 3-hour concert for a show celebrating anisong—anime songs. A true phenomenon since the creation of anime series in Japan over 60 years ago, anisong is part of daily life for animation fans worldwide. Today, the biggest J-Pop stars perform openings and endings for current series. Bringing together major names in Japanese music around anisong is an unmissable event that unites anime enthusiasts and J-Pop audiences alike.
The lineup is exceptional, with three headliners:
SHÔKO NAKAGAWA
After her musical debut in 2006 with Brilliant Dream, her third single Sorairo Days (theme of the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) became a major hit and was performed at the 58th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen. In 2024, ACROSS THE WORLD (theme of Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom) reached 3rd place on the Oricon chart.
She has an extensive voice acting career, having participated in the Pokémon film series for 12 consecutive years.
Cö SHU NIE
This Japanese rock group, composed of Miku Nakamura and Shunsuke Matsumoto, has established itself since 2011 in the J-Pop and anime music scene. They are notably behind the opening of Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc featuring Hyde, as well as themes for Jujutsu Kaisen, Psycho-Pass, and Tokyo Ghoul:re.
YAMA
A solo artist who emerged from social media, they made a remarkable debut in April 2020 with the original song Haru wo Tsugeru. Among their many hit songs are Magical Syndrome, the theme for the special clip Magical Chiikawa, and Shikisai, the ending theme for the anime series SPY×FAMILY.
During the Koshitantan 2025 Asian tour, they performed in Seoul, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Singapore, and Hong Kong, gathering around 7,000 fans in total.
Special Act
The first part of the show is hosted by Mitsu, a content creator and well-known figure on Japanese television who is also a true music lover, along with Umikun, another Japanese internet star who also has a career as a singer. They are joined by Mika Kobayashi, a friend of the festival and a major name in music who has performed several theme songs, and StarrySky, a French band inspired by J-Pop and J-Rock that always gets the crowd going whenever they come to Japan Expo. They serve as the backing band for this incredible show.
