At Ankama, animation has always played a key role in our transmedia strategy. For the 2026 Ankama Convention, we invite you to go behind the scenes with Welsh & Shedar, an animated series produced by the Japanese studio Massket, which you can discover at Japan Expo Paris.

There are some ingredients we love working with more than others: a good ladleful of adventure, a few pinches of shared values, a generous dose of colorful characters—all sprinkled with that savory touch of Krosmoz that deliciously tantalizes the taste buds. With Welsh & Shedar, we’re offering you a brand-new flavor to enrich the universe you already know…

So, Welsh & Shedar will be filling the air with the delicious aroma of dishes prepared with love and passion (as always here). Because, after all, with a great recipe that blends influences from Roubaix and Japan, needless to say, we were really eager for you to try it!

On Sunday, July 12, starting at 11 a.m., on the YUZU stage, the first two episodes will be screened with Japanese audio and French subtitles. This screening will be followed by a special panel discussion moderated by Anthony "ToT" Roux, creative director at Ankama, and Noureddine Widad, producer at Welsh & Shedar. It’s a chance to learn more about this series, which is unlike any other thanks to its unique collaboration with Massket Studio,

And if you’ve noticed that we talk a lot about food at Ankama, there’s a good reason for that with Welsh & Shedar… Still, the name of the series should have given you a clue!
